Stress Management Workshops
Understanding, Managing, and Eliminating Day-to-Day Stress

Do you want to get rid of daily stress but do not have the opportunity to attend in-person coaching sessions? Based on the same techniques I use in Stress Coaching, we will work together to help you understand, manage and eliminate day-to-day stress factors, and help to prevent stress from returning in the future. Check out our classes and workshops.

Why attend a Stress Management Workshop?

Everyone is subject to stress at various point in time triggered both in our professional or personal lives. Every day approximately 430,000 Danes have symptoms of severe stress and 35,000 are on stress leave.

Stress is a completely natural reaction to perceived "challenges" or even "dangers" in life. It happens when we feel threatened - by a lion or in today's modern society - when internal or external demands exceed our own resources. Stress happens unconsciously and helps us to either fight or escape - the classic "flight or fight" reaction.

It is a biological mechanism that triggers stress hormones to encourage quick action. Adrenalin and Cortisol surge in our body. Fat and sugar content in the blood increase,  breathing intensifies, pulse and blood pressure rise, the immune system is strengthened and our mind "switch to autopilot" reducing access to the intellect and reason, in favor of immediate instinctual responses.

Stress is natural and positive in the short run, it helps us move quickly or perform-well in a given situation. However, when stress is prolonged and our body does not have time to recover, stress can become highly counterproductive and have serious consequences for our emotional and physical health. Our body and mind become overloaded and we start experiencing physical, cognitive and behavioral stress symptoms.

Cognitive stress symptoms:

  • Racing thoughts

  • Forgetfulness and disorganization

  • Inability to concentrate

  • Difficulties to make decisions

  • Reduced performance

  • Constant worrying

  • Being pessimistic or seeing only the negative side

Physical stress symptoms:

  • Tiredness/exhaustion

  • Lower energy

  • Headaches or migraine

  • Upset stomach, including diarrhea, constipation, and nausea

  • Chest pain and rapid heartbeat

  • Inner turmoil

  • Insomnia

  • Weak immune system

  • Tense muscles

  • Loss of sexual desire and/or impotence

  • Nervousness and shaking, ringing in the ear, cold or sweaty hands and feet

  • Dry mouth and difficulty swallowing

  • Clenched jaw and grinding teeth

  • Reduced fertility

  • Exacerbation of chronic disease

Behavioral symptoms:

  • Changes in appetite - not eating or eating too much

  • Irritability/aggressiveness

  • Higher sensitivity (easier to tears)

  • Withdraw into oneself

  • Procrastinating and avoiding responsibilities

  • Increased use of alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes

  • Exhibiting more nervous behaviors, such as nail biting, fidgeting, and pacing

In many respects, stress is completely normal and inevitable in modern lives. However,  if you have longer term feelings of stress - such as the feeling of being overwhelmed and under significant pressure for prolonged periods, then it is important to seek help.

Stress warning signals only get worse and the consequences more serious and long lasting if you do nothing to prevent and manage your stress.

The aim of this workshop is to help you understand, reduce,  manage and prevent stress in your daily life before you have to report sick or experience a stress collapse.

By enrolling in our stress management workshop, you will get:

  • a deeper understanding of what stress is

  • help to identify your stress triggers

  • effective tools to better manage - and eliminate - stress in your life

  • exercises to do in groups to help you make the necessary adjustments in your life to become stress-free

  • direct contact to your teacher so you can ask questions and ask for help if you need it

We experience high satisfaction among our course participants as it is very personal and interactive.
